For Members Traveling Abroad
In an effort to prevent credit card fraud DHCU is blocking DHCU CheckCard or Visa Card transaction requests that originate from certain foreign countries. If you plan on traveling abroad please contact our Visa Department at info@dhcu.org with your travel dates and destinations.

If your account appears to be blocked for potential fraudulent activity contact Card Servicing for assistance at 309-796-7500. After hours and on weekends you can call 1-888-685-2265 (Domestically) or 1-866-810-9385 (Internationally) to confirm charges and have the block removed. When calling the above numbers the initial recording indicates to "report fraudulent activity" card holders should contact their financial institution. Continue through the recording to speak with a live representative.

Automatic Payment
Have your Visa payment automatically deducted from your savings or checking account every month. You'll still receive your monthly statement listing your transactions. Your statement will show the date the payment is deducted from your account.

To use Automatic Payment simply complete this form, mail it or bring it to any DHCU office and we will do the rest.

When you choose automatic payment of your DHCU Visa, you have three convenient payment options.

  • Minimum payment or 2% of your outstanding balance, whichever is greater
  • The total unpaid balance
  • A fixed amount that's greater than the minimum payment or greater than 2% of the balance

Lost or Stolen Cards
If your DHCU Visa credit card has been lost or stolen, call 309-796-7500 or 800-654-7728 immediately.

Benefits Package
Warranty Manager, Emergency Cash/Card Replacement, Auto Rental Insurance, and Visa Travel and Emergency Assistance are available to DHCU Community Credit Union Gold Cardholders. Certain restrictions apply. Complete disclosure information will be provided when you become a cardholder.

Travel Accident Insurance*
When you charge to your covered credit card the full fare(s) for travel on a common carrier, you, your spouse, and dependent children under the age of 19 years (23 years if a full-time student attending an accredited college or university) will be automatically covered for $250,000 (for Classic cardholders) or $500,000 (for Gold) $1,000,000 for Platinum cardholders of accident insurance covering accidental bodily injuries that are the sole cause of death or dismemberment while riding in, boarding or alighting from any public air, land or water conveyance operated by a common carrier licensed to carry passengers for hire. If the ticket(s) has been purchased prior to departure for the terminal, coverage is also provided while traveling on a common carrier (including taxi, bus, train, or airport limousine) directly to or directly from an airport, bus, train, or ship terminal on which the cardholder was a fare paying passenger.

Balance Transfer Instructions
1.
To transfer your balance, complete the online form by clicking here. Or click here to print, then mail or fax back to DHCU.
2. Once approved, we'll mail you a check to pay off each of the credit cards you specify. Mail the check(s) with your credit card statement(s) to pay them off. DHCU is not responsible for the payment being late or lost in the mail.
3. Please allow 4 weeks for the balance transfer. If you receive a statement from your creditor during this period, continue to pay the monthly payment required in order to avoid any late charges or delinquency on that account.
4. Please note: a balance transfer may not pay off the total balance in its entirety because of the possibilities of outstanding charges on some of the accounts or an insufficient credit limit on your DHCU Visa account.
5. Watch for the payments to show up as credits on your other credit card statements. If the credited amount brings the balance to zero, you may then close those accounts. We will not close your accounts for you.
6. There is no fee for transferring balances. These are processed as cash advances and interest is computed from the date the cash advance is made.
